Nokia's 41MP PureView 808 to launch in India in Q2 2012
Nokia's super cameraphone, PureView 808, is likely to hit the Indian shores in the second quarter of this year. The Nokia PureView 808, introduced at the Mobile World Congress event held earlier this year, features a mammoth 41MP camera sensor. The Nokia PureView 808 has recently gone on sale in Europe.

According to a Mobiletor report, Nokia is planning to integrating the PureView imaging technology into its forthcoming Windows Phone-based Lumia smartphones. The report also reveals why Nokia chose Symbian platform to launch the technology. “For those who are wondering why the Finnish manufacturer introduced it in a Symbian phone, the technology was undergoing developments for five years now. Hence the OEM decided to stick to its proprietary OS while introducing it,” the report states.
Nokia has not yet revealed the Nokia PureView 808 release date and price details.
