RCom offers 1GB of 3G data free with Google-endorsed smartphones
Reliance Communications (RCom) and Google India have entered into a two-year agreement under which RCom will be marketing Google's Android OS and mobile services in the country. As part of the agreement, RCom is offering 1GB of 3G data free with Google-endorsed smartphones. Reliance is also planing to introduce expert customer care, carrier billing, exclusive apps and content in addition to the dedicated Android experience zone at Reliance retail outlets across the country.
Reliance's new offer is applicable for all new and existing customers, who upgrade and activate their handsets with Google approved 3G Android devices, on the Reliance 3G network. The 1GB of free data offer is valid during the period of 15th April, 2012 to 15th June, 2012. Both prepaid and post-paid customers can avail this offer. Post consumption of 1GB free data, customer needs to activate a 3G data plan or will be charged at 10p / 10 kb (pay as you go plan).
The offer is only available in RCom's 13 3G circles including Delhi, West Bengal, Mumbai, Himachal Pradesh, Kolkata, Bihar, Orissa, Rajasthan, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and North East.

Our collaboration with Google is set to bring in many novelties and unique features for device users on our superior network, complementing the innovation of Android powered services and devices.”
Reliance has also launched a Reliance – Android “BLUE BOT” advertisement campaign across various platforms. The campaign features the Green Android BOT changing its colour to become the ‘Reliance BLUE BOT’.
